Biographical Information

S. Gaillard Ladd, Jr. was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama.  Upon graduation from high school, Gaillard attended Birmingham-Southern College.  Gaillard graduated from Birmingham-Southern with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History and a minor in Political Science.  Gaillard attended Cumberland School of Law and served as an associate justice on the honor court.  While at Cumberland, Gaillard was an active member of Cumberland's trial advocacy board and served on the board as the associate director of mediation.  Gaillard was selected as a member of Cumberland's national trial team and was inducted into The Order of Barristers in recognition for his courtroom advocacy abilities.

After graduation from Cumberland, Gaillard served as an Assistant District Attorney in Mobile for nearly two years.  During his time as an Assistant District Attorney, Gaillard tried many cases in Mobile County Circuit and District Courts.  In 2008, Gaillard left the employment of the District Attorney's Office and joined Luther, Crowe & Rainey, P.C.

Gaillard is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Mobile Bar Association.  Gaillard has served on the Young Lawyers Executive Committee for the Mobile Bar Association since 2007.  Gaillard has been a member of the Alabama Bar since 2006, the Mississippi State Bar since 2007, the Northern and Southern U.S. District Courts of Mississippi since 2007, and the U.S. Southern District Court of Alabama since 2008.  Gaillard is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys spending time outdoors when away from the office.
